Support Construction of Binaytara's Cancer Hospital in Nepal
Event Description
The 2026 National Summit on Hematologic Cancers is a CE-accredited educational meeting that brings together nationally recognized experts in hematologic malignancies to deliver a comprehensive review of current standards of care and emerging therapeutic advances. The program will address the evolving management of acute myeloid leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, chronic myeloid leukemia, myeloproliferative neoplasms, multiple myeloma, and lymphoma.
Designed to enhance the knowledge and clinical competence of oncology professionals, this activity will highlight practice-changing clinical data, evidence-based guidelines, and expert perspectives aimed at optimizing outcomes for patients with hematologic cancers. Through a combination of focused presentations and case-based discussions, faculty will interpret the latest scientific findings and translate them into practical strategies for real-world clinical application. Emphasis will be placed on contextualizing novel and established therapies, enabling participants to make informed, patient-centered treatment decisions.
The summit will also feature oral and poster abstract presentations providing a platform for investigators and trainees to share innovative research, clinical insights, and quality-improvement initiatives that advance the field of hematologic oncology.
In addition, the meeting will host a Shark Tank-style Impact Pitch Competition culminating in the Shaji Kumar Award. This award includes a $50,000 research grant to support translational research and novel therapy development aimed at improving patient care, expanding access, and advancing implementation of innovative strategies in hematologic malignancies.

In India, we have partnered with government institutions to establish hospice and palliative care programs in Madhya Pradesh. We are beginning construction in 2024 on a comprehensive 200-bed cancer center in Janakpur, Nepal that will dramatically improve access to cancer care in Nepal and surrounding communities.
